Info

Point Comfort and Little Sand Point Campgrounds have been consolidated into one new campground, the Piseco Lake Campground and Day Use Area. Both campgrounds are now referred to as "loops" within Piseco Lake Campground, and hold 98 separate campsites altogether.

How to get there

From the intersection of Route 8 & 30 in Speculator and drive west on Route 8 for 8.8 miles. Take a right onto Old Piseco Road (Casey's Corner's Convenience Store & Gas on corner) and drive for 4.8 miles to reach Little Sand Point Loop on the left side of the road. Drive 2 more miles and you'll reach the Point Comfort Loop.

Point Comfort Loop

The Point Comfort Loop has the largest natural sand beach in the Adirondacks, and a large day use area. A day use pass is required for use of the boat launch.

The Little Sand Point Loop has dozens of large, wooded, well-spaced campsites, located on picturesque Piseco Lake.

In addition to great campsites, there are numerous hiking trails only minutes from campground. Swimming, sailing, canoeing, and fishing are all available to campers.
